A word about quantities: It takes 2 spools of #5 Pearl Cotton, Stardust or Merino Heather Fingering to make a sweater or pant, 1 spool for the basic straight skirt. You need 2 spools of metalic for one of our dresses or gowns. One spool of the 2/28 Ultra Fine Merino goes a long way, you can make the Mock Pleat Skirt with 1 spool. All off the finer yarns go a long way, the Lino, Jump and Ultra Fine Merino have considerable yardage on a spool. The #8 Pearl Cotton does not come on our own spools, but on standard 90yd. retail cardboard spools as they would any where you buy them. The #5 Pearl Cotton comes on our own spools and is a good substitute for the Basic yarn, using 2 spools for a sweater or pant. The Skinny Majesty and Marbella come on our own spools and use 2 spools to make a sweater. They can be substituted for the basic yarn, but will not knit to exactly the same gauge.
